We follow the national curriculum for early years. The Early Year’s Foundation Stage framework became mandatory in early years settings in September 2008. We ensure that our staff plan the learning and development of each individual child, with a balance of child led and adult led activities.
At Flying Start Day Nurseries we encourage our staff to work together with parents and guardians to ensure a strong relationship. The exchanging of information, discussion and feedback, helps us to understand each individual need of the child. Records of each child’s learning and development are kept in a beautiful online learning journey that leaves with the child at the end of foundation stage.
Children need to feel safe, happy and secure in their relationships and environment, our practitioners ensure that children are warmly welcomed every day to help create an excellent relationship.

Flying Start Day Nursery Chigwell Ltd supports children with a range of additional educational needs, so that they can access all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Special Educational Provisions
Provisions for children with disabilities and additional educational needs. Admissions – At Flying Stat Day Nursery Chigwell we explore the educational needs of a child with disabilities and, in liaison with all other agencies involved with the child, develop an individual education plan, which allows for children to achieve their full potential.
